Van contact information

Van 2 people,
Whoever wants to take the lead in van 2, here is the information for the van we rented. Van 1 is all set, van 2 needs to decide if this is something you want to do. You don't need a 15 passenger van, but it will make things a lot more comfortable for the race.

Van 1 - Van rental

For Van 1, we have decided to rent a 15 passenger van. I have made a reservation at executive-van-rentals.com confirmation number EXEC-LOSA-868107. The max cost for each passenger in van 1 will be $55 for a 3 day rental. Depending on our race start and finish we may be able to cut that price down to a two day rental at a cost of $36 per person.
Van 2 will have to work together and decide what you would like to do.
Here are the current van assignments as noted on the blog:
Van 1: James, Danielle, Dave & Rebecca Greding, Amy Adams and Wade Altom. Driver: Mike Adams
Van 2: Nikki Fenski, John Stewart, Trevor Kavanagh, Michael Barnett, Laura Wright and Tom Omer. Driver: Chad Wright

The Ragnar site notes that they expect to post their first draft of the running legs "by 1/1/11". You should know that they will change several times leading up to the race.

Begging for race fees

Hey team!  We have everyone registered with Ragnar now.  Hooray.  There are still several that have not paid me their portion of the race fee yet.  If you didn't know, I paid our $1,500 team fee about a month ago.  I wouldn't mind if you brought by a check soon.  :-)

Ragnar: Running from Responsibility Team #1 Complete

We just completed the team today!  Tom Omer came over, gave me a check and said, "I'm in!"

Welcome Tom!  Right now, we aren't considered a "mixed team", because we don't have an even set of males to females, but if we get more interested we may end up shuffling people around between the teams to hopefully get back to the "mixed team" ratio.

I added a few links to the blog (http://runningfromresponsibility.blogspot.com/) for your reference such as training guides and course maps.

Running from Responsibility Team #4

We are officially registered for the So Cal Ragnar Relay. We are team #4.
I've set up a new blog to broadcast and communicate all Ragnar 2011 information. http://runningfromresponsibility.blogspot.com/
Feel free to post questions, etc here. You'll also receive an email each time someone posts something as well.

Current Team
James Sloan
Danielle Sloan
David Greding
Rebecca Greding
Wade Altom
Amy Adams

John Stewart
Nikki Fenske
Trevor Kavanagh
Michael Barnett (Trevor's friend who ran the Wasatch Back last year)
Laura Wright
Unknown (must be female)

Commitments
We have 11 of our 12 member team that have committed at some level. I've received commitments via three different forms: "Official" in response to my request from the RagnarRelay team page, "verbal" or "email" commitments. We need official commitments when you have time. Just respond to the email I sent from the Ragnar website. We still need one more female to round out our "mixed" team.

Registration Fee
I've paid the registration fee and the volunteer fee since I didn't think we would be able to get volunteers to travel down south. The total combined fee is $125 per person. When you have an opportunity, please give me a check for the fee.

15 Passenger Van
I have started looking into renting 15 passenger vans. So far the most reasonable price I have found is $99 per day. For those that participated in previous years, we were all very envious of those that had something bigger than a minivan. If we did this, I estimate the cost would be between $33 to $50 depending on what kind of taxes they will add to the rental fee. I think this might be a small price to pay for a lot more comfort over the 30 plus hours of the race. Especially if we can't find places to sleep near the major exchanges. I would like to know your thoughts.
