  1. oh this makes me sad. I'll be thinking of all of you. And I'll actually probably be awake during the middle of the night too with the new little babe. One thing I won't miss is that sweaty snap on bracelet. :) Have so much fun and I'll join you next year.

  2. I've created a new spreadsheet for the new year, and I've gone through and updated all of the leg distances and elevations. I've also improved my formula for calculating overall leg difficulty, so check it out!

Everyone has permission to view the document, and a few of you have been added as editors. Let me know if there are more that would like to edit the document.

  3. James - is there a way for you to update the link on the left so that it directs to the new spreadsheet?

  4. OK. I took a shot at making assignments on the spreadsheet, and plugged in the paces from the website.

James - I noticed you make initial assignments on the ragnar website. I think you might want to consider elevation as well as distance: in particular, take a look at runners #5 and #6. The distance is deceptively short, but they have some of the most brutal hills. Leg #5 has an average grade of 7.4%, but it's short 2.4-mile distance puts it into my "H" category. And leg #18 has a 1000-foot climb. So in my assignments, I gave those to you and John S. :)

  5. Has anyone seen my Urim and Thummim for translating Tom's spreed sheet? I think I left it in the van at last years Ragnar. If anyone has seen it could you please mail it to me or drop it off at my house, it would be much appreciated, Thanks

  7. Dave - Sounds like you "took no thought save it was to ask." Did you "study it out in your mind" first (D&C 9:7-8)?
