I'd like to get video of myself running with shoes/ without shoes and see what changes. I definitely land on my forefoot when barefoot, my heel in shoes.
I run barefoot about twice a week...and I really like it. I am planning on getting some of those 5 fingers and I might wear those during Ragnar. Roadrunner sports has the equipment to shoot vid of your foot strike. I'll go with you, Rebecca!
I ran this morning with shoes, but I had those videos on my mind the whole time. I learned that I generally strike pretty hard on my heels, and that consciously striking closer to the ball of the foot is much quieter. Kind of cool!
So, who wants to run Ragnar barefoot?!

ReplyDeleteI will stick to my shoes. I like to squish spiders when I run and bare foot running would take away all my confidence!
